Our work placement programme is making excellent progress with some students having the opportunity to watch last nights opening World Cup match and meet some of the local community. They were able to tell them about the renovation work they have done by using pictures and explaining where they were from and how much they were enjoying the experience of working in Normandy, France. Other member's of the group were able to review the week so far and assess the project at the Gite (student accommodation).
Later this afternoon we will be travelling with the hosts to the north coast of Normandy to attend an event, commemorating the D-Day anniversary on the beach with a BBQ and taking in a fire-work display later this evening as a reward for all their hard work so far.
We will be updating the latest photos with details of our weekend enrichment activities throughout the weekend.
